The
son of Elizabeth, of 36 Ann Street, St Helier. At the time of the war
he worked for Messer's Orange & Co.
Known as 'Frank', reportedly he was one of the first to volunteer for the Jersey Company. After training in Ireland and Aldershot he travelled to the front with the Jersey Company in December 1915. In March the following year, he undertook a course in trench construction. Served at the front through 1916 and into 1917, being promoted to Sergeant and Section Commander in No 2 Platoon. Killed in action during the fighting at Frezenberg in August 1917.
