The son
of Alfred and Mary, of Samares, St Clement. Prior to the war he lived
at Chateau Clairval Cottage, St Saviour. He appears to have been born
in Ceylon. His brother Clarence also died in the war while serving in
the London Regiment.
While serving with the Machine Gun Section of 7th Royal Irish Rifles he was wounded in April 1916. Killed on 16 August 1917 in the fighting at Frezenberg.
