The son
of Philip and Annie, of Nelson House, Trinity. At the time of joining
the Army he lived in Broad Street, St Helier and worked as a bricklayer.
Trained as a sniper in early 1916. In March or April that year he contracted Bronchitis, and was honorably discharged from the army as a result in September 1916.
