The son
of Richard and Amelie, of Near Saint Lyn, St John. His father Richard
also served with the Jersey Company.
Served with the Jersey Company at the front throughout 1916 and 1917. In January 1918, he transferred to 2nd Hampshire Regiment along with the rest of the Jersey Company. Wounded at some time in the first half of 1918, he may have not returned to active service. Discharged from the Army in February 1919.
