The son
of Charles and Ellen, originally or Carlow, Ireland, then of Le Geyt
Street, St Helier. Prior to the war, he lived in Le Geyt Street and
King Street, Helier.
He served at the front with the Jersey Company throughout 1916 and 1917. After transferring to the 2nd Hampshire Regiment in January 1918 with the rest of the Jersey Company, he was wounded and gassed while serving near Hazebrouck, dying shortly after.
