The son
of Francis and Clara, of St Lukes, St Clement. Living in Winchester
Street, St Helier when he joined the Army in 1915, and working as a
carpenter.
After training as a bomber and sniper, he was evacuated from the trenches in March 1916 suffering from trench foot. His condition was such that he was discharged from the Army in May that year. Awarded a pension, he resided in Birmingham and there died in December 1917, reportedly of war related illness.
