The son
of Henry and Isabella, of Columbus Street, St Helier. Prior to the war
he was living in Winchester Street and working as a tailor.
After serving throughout 1916 and 1917 he transferred with the rest of the Jersey Company to the Hampshire Regiment in January 1918. In May that year, he was admitted to hospital in France suffering from an absess. Rejoined his unit in October 1918. Discharged from the Army in February 1919.
