The son
of John and Ether, of Pier Road, St Helier. By 1901, however, he appears
to have been living in Guernsey and working as a messanger.
Appears to have served at the front with the Jersey Company throughout 1916 and 1917, and transferred with them to 2nd Hampshire Regiment in January 1918. He was with that Battalion when the war came to an end, being discharged from the Army in April 1918.
