The son
of Philip and Elizabeth, of La Ruette, Trinity. Prior to the war he
lived at Bagot, St Saviour.
Traveled to the front with the Jersey Company in December 1915. After training as a bomber in March, he fell ill in the months that followed and was evacuated from the trenches for treatment. He appears to have returned to duty by early 1917. In January 1918, along with the rest of the Jersey Company, he transferred to 2nd Hampshire Regiment. Died of wounds at the 2nd Australian Casualty Clearing Station after being hit in the right thigh and elbow while serving near the French town of Hazebrouck.
