The son
of William and Henriette, of Canon Street, St Helier. At the time of
the war he was married, and living with his parents in Pomona Road,
St Helier.
Served at the front through 1916 and 1917, before transferring to 2nd Hampshires in January 1918 with most other Jersey Company survivors. Wounded in June 1918, he was evacuated to hospital for treatment. After returning to duty he was wounded again in September, hit by shrapnel in the arm and shoulder. Treated in a hospital in England, he presumably did not return to service before the end of the war. Demobilised from the Army in April 1919.
